Abstract
Objective : This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of learning with visual and auditory stimuli on the
elderly, as well as to compare different information presentation methods¡¯ effectiveness on short-term memory, as a way to develop better learning skills for adult learners.

Methods : The study was conducted on 40 elderly people living in the Gyeongbuk area for a total of 40 subjects (20 in Experimental Group 1 and 20 in Experimental Group 2) for 8 weeks. The effectiveness levels of visual and auditory stimuli on short-term memory were compared through Rapael Comcog.

Results : Visual stimuli were relevant in assessing sequential and retrograde speech accuracy by stimuli. Phonetic memory and the average learning attitude were significantly correlated. Thus, the memory of visual stimuli produced more significant results.

Conclusion : As the ability to speak, recognize, and learn using visual stimuli was improved, this result was
predicted as critical outside of the modern world.
